Engraving

Plates can be engraved by laser or mechanically (with an engraving cutter). We engrave on PVC laminates, aluminium, stainless steel and other materials, as required. The size of the plate, its design (e.g. rounded corners), the layout of the text, and the holes needed for mounting can be tailored to customer specifications. Elmetal's long-standing experience and the use of the most advanced technological solutions guarantee the highest level of quality and very short turnaround time even for a large number of plates.

Mechanical engraving is a technique in which hollows are made in various types of multilayered plastic surfaces, transparent single-layered plexiglass or metal surfaces with appropriate tools.  When single layered material is used the hollows are filled with ink. The plates produces using this method are very durable. Various designs which cannot be engraved using other methods are possible.

Laser engraving is a techique in which the top layer of material is delicately removed (burned off) by a laser beam. As in the case of mechanical engraving hollows engraved in single layered material are filled with ink.  The patterns engraved on the surface are very durable and cannot be removed.

 

Laser engraving can be applied to the following material:
